CORE TESTING EQUIPMENT

INTRODUCTION

These instruments are used to determine rock properties which aid the engineer in evaluating the production potential of a petroleum reservoir. Formation porosity and permeability are two of the most important rock properties to the petroleum engineer. Messina's state-of-the-art core testing equipment has been designed to allow the engineer to easily and accurately determine these very important parameters.

RELATIVE PERMEAMETER

Used to determine the steady state relative permeability of 1 and 1.5 inch diameter cores under simulated overburden pressures up to 10,000 psi.

FORMATION RESPONSE TESTER (MTE CT-002)

This instrument is used to evaluate the effects of acids and other treating chemicals on the permeability of core specimens. Tests may be performed at temperatures up to 350° F with five different test fluids.
