Drilling, Workover & Completion Fluids

This is Messina's proprietary oil based invert emulsion drilling fluid system. The basic primary components of this system included Oilmul-L, Oilcon, Oiltone, Oilvis, Oilwet and Oilthin. The primary emulsifier for the Oilmul system. Oilmul-L is a concentrated liquid formulation based on modified organic acids. Like all of Messina's products, Oilmul-L is compatible in most competitive oil mud systems (pilot testing recommended).

A very effective liquid dispersant/thinner for muds containing organophillic clays   

Oil-wetting cationic surfactant for dispersing and oil wetting solids in any oil invert or oil base drilling fluid. Oilwet helps maintain desirable rheological properties to the mud system during normal drilling, weighting up, water intrusion or water-base mud contamination                

A modified hydrocarbon of a selected particle size to control loss of circulation in oil base and invert mud systems used in drilling, workover/completion and other applications. Oilseal is soluble in most hydrocarbons and therefore is non-damaging to the formation in that it is eventually removed with time.   

A one-sack complete product for the preparation of an oil base packer fluid. Consult Messina's mixing chart for the recommended product , water, oil and baryte mix to achieve the desired fluid weight.       

A low toxic invert emulsion system. A Messina's proprietary oil based invert emulsion drilling fluid system. Please refer to Messina's Product Catalogue on drilling fluids as well as Messina's OIL-BASE MUDS ENGINEERING MANUAL for detailed information. Other than the products listed below, the other Oilmul System products such as Oilvis, Oilseal, etc. can be used in this Kleen-Mul System.                                                                                        

A low toxicity base oil used in Messina's Kleen-Mul System. Kleen-Oil can be one of several from a selection of mineral and vegetable oils that are low in aromatic content and have properties suitable for use as a base fluid.

A basic package for the preparation of Messina's Tru-Oil oil base system. Tru-Oil is a complete one-package powdered product that imparts viscosity, gel strengths and fluid loss to diesel or selected crude oils. Pease refer to the mixing chart for the preparation of fluids of the required weight.
