EXTENDERS |
|---|
| INTRODUCTION
Extenders are used to increase the yield of a sack of cement and, at the same time, decrease slurry density to reduce hydrostatic pressure. Depending on the application for a low density cement slurry, ie. scavenger for mud removal, filler (lead) slurry for reduced or balanced hydrostatics or as a low density, cost effective primary or remedial cementing system. Extenders can be selected to react or non-react with the cement to provide the desired properties. |
